does anybody know the most possible date of the release of the results of june 2008 nursing local board exams??/ thanks.

DON’T GO INTO CALL CENTER
i’m not against working and being productive at some point where we needed most but a growing number of nurses nowadays are jumping off to diversed call centers across all major regions and after several months, can’t easily quit job only to realize that they’ve lot of mouths to feed now or can’t afford to lose luxuries they gained…

comment: it wont last long as it is set just for a short-lived bed of roses….

while some misinformed souls believe that by way of conversing with foreign toungue’s they would acquire fluency and authority of the language…

comment: you dont necessarily need to plunge it that hip industry today just to speak good english… if you came from a good institution, probably you’ve already been trained well and has fears gone-away in initiating your mouth to speak such foreign… or maybe other languages as mandarin, french, italian, spanish, etc…

though the only setback is: pay/compensation is usually high, that makes it very appealing especially to those who are really eager to make an income, and dreams of an independent life after school…

advice: practice what you’ve studied for… so,

here are better options you can do while waiting for your boardex results:
get some trainings: 1. BLS, 2. ECG interpretation and management, 3. ACLS (these are life-saving skills that may be required by some hsopitals before you will be given licensed to touch their patients… and also, employers would have an impression of your passion for further eduactiong and enhancing your skills that could be one of your great assets in your job hunt)
4. try volunteer works… take off creating contacts of hospitals and other agencies which offer opportunities for you to get an experience… check out your local place, like in some provinces, where they accept underboard nursing graduates to fill duties in the wards (of course, your function is limited to your capability as yet RNs)… say for example, mentorship program, or the Red Cross volunteer… or your school’s medical/dental/optometric missions… etc…
5. start moving your application for NCLEX-RN exam and do self-review as early as possible….

it may be rough roads for all of us, sacrificing to take care of patients without any pay (volunteerism) however. experience is way, way worthwhile…

I was wondering why you had published on the PRC’s and Google’s websites the Complete List of June 2008 Nursing Board Exam Passers when in fact the list is completely empty. The viewers cannot even access the link, which means it has not been updated as of yet.

This board exam was easy (not that I’ve taken it before)… all the way from test 1 - 5 was a breeze… hmm, makes me wonder why they made it so hard to apply… The Nov/Dec board exam will be hard/er methinks, since most of the big schools are going to take the NLE by then..

I totally agree with Ron on the call center thing… it won’t be beneficial on the long run… trust me… here’s the scenario, when you get to call center, your gonna start training for let’s say 1-2mos or 2-4mos with pay and would get into 1-3 year contracts (if your good or if the agency has the policy), regardless if you pass or not (if your chosen path is truly nursing), you’d be distract by a steadily increasing pay-out from your job in the call center, therefore, if you work long hours 4-6 days a week you won’t be able to train, review, take advanced courses, etc…

And Erika, your overreacted, since he has a major point when you get to that “American Dream” mode; your gonna get hooked easily by being paid already. Yes life is hard, but don’t make tougher by taking shortcuts, that’s the fundamental problem with most of us: We want to get rich quick; which is not impossible, but a lot less meaningful and least challenging.

For those who “think” or just “might” get into the passing cut, it’s not “reading everything” that’s important since you studied that for 3-5 years already, all you need to do is just do short reviews, update yourself often (especially for those who self-review), enroll yourself into a review center (they really help out a lot but I won’t say which review center for I am not endorsing any atm), and bombard yourself with practice on common board exam questions like

1. what is the color of the laughing gas tank?

a. blue
b. yellow
c. green
d black

*It’s definitely blue since internationally NO2/NO tanks are colored blue, good thing they didn’t put red because that would be the fire extinguisher… XD

hay..still a BUM. cant even decide to work for call center or whatever kasi maya lumabas agad result.. but i advise those who are waiting for the result to take trainings or seminars muna.. i indulged myself to redcross training . atleast, i’m a trained first aider and could do volunteer sa redcross kahit di pa RN. try it guys..la naman mawawala.. hehe

MAY TOP 3 KAMI in the name of JICAR MAGBANUA who is a very good reviewer ng kaplan…TOP 4 - EMILY UBALDO na magiling na reviewer sa NGRTCI, etc….though di ganun kataas ang school passing percentage, still there are students who exert more effort of doing good rather putting them down..

ten students from adamson university took the june 2008 NLE..
We got a 91% passing rate last december 2007 with 89 students passing out of 98 who took the board. They were the first batch who took the NLE in the history of our school. And their batch turned out to be a tremendouse success… Hayyyy, kung di lang ako nagkasakit, nakasabay sana ako sa kanila….

It’s so sad na mkta mo ang mga kabatchmates mo na RN na, at ikaw napag iwanan.. hopefully, sana makapasa ako this june…. hayyy….

Im from UP Diliman and I’m so proud to belong to the 100% who passed with more than 100 takers for how many consecutive years na?..Eh, sa inyo?..Top 3 and top 4? When?.. 1970’s pa?, 1960’s or 1950’s..hehe..sorry ha..the morale is “enroll to a college or university who na hindi lng kayo pumasa @ nag graduate but PASS the NLE as well” The percentage results determines the capability of the school to produce QUALITY and COMPETENT nurses.. guys, di naman cguro gagawin ng bon yun.. besides impossible naman na ganun kababa yung passing rate… palagi namang may mga speculations, rumors theories, whatever you want to call it na kumakalat everytime na waiting ang mga NURSES sa results… we just have to believe in ourselves and assess if we really did our part last exam. to those who are stressed out, do not worry, passing is indeed good but there is not a single human being who didnt failed, the greatest people in history failed as well in their lives and look where they are now… remembered in the anals of history… the answer in whether or not we passed or failed the board exams is really within us kasi we can gauge ourselves and our performance last june. To all june takers, god bless po sa ating lahat and CONGRATULATIONS RN NA TAYO!WE CAN DO IT! WE CAN MAKE IT WE WILL PASS THE BOARD EXAMS!!!!!!!!!!!

uhmm..m not sure about this, i just want it 2 b confirmed.isn’t the nursing of UP in UP MANILA and not in UP DILIMAN?unless up diliman suddenly opened a nursing course.aside from that, UP MANILA has less than a hundred nursing students because of their quota, ryt?at around 50 students i think? anyway, it really doesn’t matter what school u came from, the esssential thing is that u did ur part in studying well throughout ur college life and ur really passionate about the nursing profession. good luck and god bless 2 us all!!hope we all pass. =)

Nursing tuition fee for the entire course- Php .5m

Miscellaneous fee- Php 250K

Review center- Php 12 to 15K

The adrenaline rush you will experience upon seeing your name on the newspaper- Priceless!!

The waiting is what’s driving everybody crazy right now! You guys heard of the expression “It’s not the thought of death that scares you, it’s the anticipation of death”? I don’t want to be morbid, but that is what’s happening. The suspense is just killing us! But you know what folks, by the time the test results are released (hopefully it would be very soon), we would be so spent and tired by then that we just couldn’t care less of the outcome anymore. I happen to know of previous board takers in the past who was so stressed and completely zonked out from waiting that when the results were finally printed over the newspapers they just didn’t have the strength to jump for joy anymore (yes, they did pass). On the same token, those who weren’t that fortunate, they were just relieved that the waiting is finally over!! Bottom line, take it easy yow, cause whether we like it or not we will get there!! I’m no exception- for the first 3 weeks after taking the NLE, I had reoccurring nightmares of the board. I kept dreaming those items that really got to me!
Again, don’t get to worked- up thinking about it. Prayers can move mountains!
